We made our 4 Course meal and it was delicious. Something we should do differently is book earlier. I am happy about what me made

top of an empty bottle and put the bottle in a bucket of boiling water.

Our flow week has been bad this week. We are not following the plan very welland are not cleaning up our mess. We are doing flow week next week and we are going to try harder to clean up our mess and our act. I am doing it alone so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes. Reflection- flow week
Today I learned that I am possibly giving some of my team too much freedom during flow week. I learned this when a number of staff came to me to let me know of the poor state of the art area in the Village. I checked and yes, it was a real mess. I need to tighten up the system for flow week so that children understand that they are expected to clean up after themselves, plus build in more accountability so that they know they need to create things that show improvment in learning.
Because of this learning I now know to keep a closer eye on how flow week is going plus I can structure it a little more.
The next step in my learning is to get this across to anyone involved in flow week and follow up by viewing the outcomes they have come up with. If they are not to a standard that the students are capable of then we need to ask the question "Is flow week actually working?" and "How can flow week be refined to ensure that we are getting quality learning?"

Today I had revision on finding the perimeter, volume and area of shapes. I didn't finish the sheet but hardly anybody else did. Reflection- transition and change
Today I learned a bit more about what is is like going to Cobham when Sami Swadi came in to speak to us about his transition. Sami gave us lots of useful information about what it was like when he first went to intermediate and how it is different from Fendalton.
It was interesting to notive that those in Team 13 who aren't going to Cobham found it hard to pull out of the information the aspects of change that Sami went through.
Because of this learning I now know that I need to help the team unpack their ideas about what change is and how to deal with it effectively- whether it be bad or good.
The next step in my learning is to do more work with Team 13 about change- what is is and how to deal with it. Watch this space...

Reflection- comic life publishes to the web
Today I learned that you can publish your comic life creations to the internet! This is really cool and here are our first two creations- one by Jason and Nick about discus, the other about my rafting trip down the Rangitata. This is a really exciting way to publish our writing.
